I had the same problem the other day, my gun was running at around 150 psi or so. But, the field has a speed limit of 280. My paint was also small bore paint, rolling out of my stock barrel.

So, in Turbo, I had mad drop off. So, I turned off the turbo, no problem.

When I got some paint with a better paint to barrel match and went to a field where the speed limit ws 300 fps, My psi went up to about 180-190. Just to be sure, I also added one to the fire pulse, so it was a bit shorter.

Now, it turbos away on 10.5 bps, no drop off.

What was happening at 145 psi, was that my reg was unable to keep up. I have a Nitro Duck ss4500 feeding my Max Flo (yeah, I now 4x regged is a bit of overkill, but you should check the consistency on that puppy +/- 1 fps with good paint). So, with the low psi, my regs were having trouble supplying enough flow. At a higher pressure and shorter fire pulse, everything is just fine.

I think I am going to do 2 things to help out in such situations in the future, and there are other things to do too.
Get one of the Hypersport Works volume reducers.
Get a tighter bore barrel, with less porting (LAPCOs rock)
Also, if you have a Werm bolt, or such, you could go back to the less efficient stock bolt.
When all else fails, try fudging with the firing pulse, making it shorter/faster. But, before fudging with the timing, be sure to mark your original settings, so you can turn them back if it goes wacko.

Good luck

: outside temp is about 55 to 60 degrees in CA...i thought shockers are supposed to run at 185 to 195 psi... i think i notice a little drop off on rapid fire with HPA and even more on CO2 ...should i be operating at 180 to 190 pressure and if so how do i get my pressure up there from 145? oh at 145 i was at 265 f.p.s. ...the field limit is 270 so to fire at 265 can i have my pressure at 185 and how to get there???? thanks if anyone can answer these questions....
