: I have seen the light and want to go from tippmann to shocker and I realy want a turbo 4x4 shocker but they are in the 700 range but a stock 4x4 is only 540 at xpaint ball. Should i just buy a stock 4x4 and buy the turbo board later or buy the already turbo version? Also is it ok if i run the shocker on CO2 ontill I have enough for a nitro tank? What do I need to run the shocker on co2?Also does anyone know where i can get the turbo board?

Ok let me try and answer all this.

1. "Should i just buy a stock 4x4 and buy the turbo board later or buy the already turbo version?"

You should if you can go and fire the gun, turbo and non, or just one. Sure shockers are great, but if you don't like the trigger pull and are planning to use the stock trigger frame and trigger, then your not going to like the gun, or you going to pay more getting a different feel. I'm not sure if you have fired one or not but it is a VERY different feel from a mechanical trigger compared to an electric trigger. If you buy it turbo already you might get a better deal some places and you're not going to have to go through all this board replacement and other things involved in that, but if a store will do it and make sure its "A" ok then see what kind of deal you can get buying a 4x4 and getting the turbo.

2. "Also is it ok if I run the shocker on CO2 ontill I have enough for a nitro tank? What do I need to run the shocker on co2?"

I have an older shocker (not the new style)
and from what I can see on smart parts web site they are still putting the max flow reg on them. I run CO2 on mine. You can screw a CO2 bottle right into the max flow reg, it can use both CO2 and Compressed Air(but make sure they didn't change that great feature on the max flow). Also when you do change from CO2 To Compressed Air (Nitro) Make sure there are no special cleaning that needs to be done before you change the gas you are using, you may have to do some kind of flush to before switching, Though I highly doubt it. (just ask the store or web site you buy it from) I run CO2 on my shocker S/F and it shoots great I credit that mainly to the max flow reg which I like very much, however I do notice about a 6-10 fps variation in my chrono speed in colder weather, but in mild to warmer temps it will be like 2-3 at the max.

As far as getting a turbo board check web sites and stores I have not been looking for one, but if I see one I'll e-mail ya. Feel free to e-mail me or post back.
