If your double feeding check the ball detents. If the gun is old and has no ball detents the barrel to paint matching could be a factor. In any case if the gun is new and it has one or two ball detents check them and make sure that the plastic balls are there and if so, check the spring tention. The ball detents should stick out enough so the paint won't fall through the barrel while the breach is open.
