In any case if the gun is new and it has one or two ball detents check them and make sure that the plastic balls are there and if so, check the spring tention. The ball detents should stick out enough so the paint won't fall through the barrel while the breach is open.

I don't have detents it is a older style shocker but I do have a Freak on it so the paint match is there. It has to be something else
