As you can tell the solenoids are made in Japan, which means going direct would be going to the manufacturer in Japan. In other words if your a company or have a lot of money then you can get any type of solenoid made for anything, just have a engineer hand over the blue prints.

The solenoids themselves are gun specific and unless the solenoids have the same model number you won't be able to change or swap out. Because solenoids opreate at differnet pressures and power or amplitude, I doubt the shocker and impulse can share solenoids. (not 100% sure)

Smartparts use to sell the Shocker solenoids for about $100-$150, but I haven't see them price the Impulse ones at all.

The NEW GUN: I know they have one (don't know name), but it's a hybrid of the Shocker. Close bolt, body as short in length as AutoMag, A little shorter in height than the Impulse, 12 or 13 bps. Should be Displayed by or at Mardi Gras.
