100% safe. they use the same voltage, but at lower amp's. so the battery doenst last as long. but oh well, 9 volt batteries are like 2 bucks, shocker batteries are like 25. but i have the eclipse 9volt conversion and its just a plug to wire from the board, to a 9volt battery hook up.
