THE SCENARIO CLASH
EMR Paintball

A Test to Find the Best

August 6 & 7 2005

At EMR Paintball Park in New Milford PA.

What is a Scenario Clash?

For years there has been a rift between Scenario and Tournament paintball players. Scenario players have been said to play the game,
while tournament players play the sport. Recreational paintball is where paintball began and even the large tournaments of old, were
played in the woods with camouflage. Tournaments have morphed into a game played in an open field behind colorful bunkers and at a
fast pace. Even with this morphing into a new play style, recreational paintball is still the most played and common form of paintball.

Now a new game system will be introduced at EMR Paintball Park called the Scenario Clash. The Scenario Clash is a combination of
the competitive nature of tournament paintball with the excitement and undertones of scenario paintball. The Clash is a scenario
tournament. We like to say it is a test to find the best. Scenario games have traditionally been large events with large teams competing
for little more than bragging rights and raffles for prizes. We are trying to change that formula. Your performance will now be accounted
and placed in high regard. Short “missions” themed from hostage extractions to urban assaults in short bursts against even odds will
count as points leading to a seeding system and eventually a single championship team. The competition will be high and the play
style will be intense. The focus will not be on eliminations and effective quick bursts like a tournament on an air ball field. Instead, the
focus will be on mission objectives and accomplishing!
the mission.

The Scenario Clash was conceived by Blue’s Crew Members, Eric “Tiny” Harvie and James “Munky” Bamert who for years played
tournament paintball and recently crossed over to play scenario and big game paintball with the world famous Blue’s Crew paintball
team. They felt it would benefit scenario teams to have a competition to show their abilities and talents to their peers. So, on a long
drive out and back from the Michigan Monster Game this year, they developed this new play system.

The Scenario Clash will be a one day event during the proof of concept game on August 6, 2005 at EMR Paintball Park and will end up
being a circuit event after the initial game testing teams from all over if it seems like a success. 32, 10 person teams will be allowed to
participate in the first Scenario Clash and only 1 team will walk away with the title as the best Scenario Team in the country.
