Team Kiwi to attend 2004 Nations Cup paintball tournament in Malaysia.

New Zealand based paintball team "Team Kiwi" would like to announce its attendance at the 2004 Nations Cup hosted at Xtion paintball in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this Decemeber. This is the first time a team has represented New Zealand at an Asian paintball tournament and
according to some members of the team "will not be the last".

Team Kiwi consists of kiwi paintball players: Brian "B2" Thornley, Brendon Charles, Peter "Big PM" Mumby, Martin Dannefaerd, Kyn Jackson and Michael "MikeE" Earley. They will be in Malaysia from December 6-12 and will be participating in the tournament as well as coaching teams and promoting paintball to the local media.

*Brian is a field operator from Dunedin in New Zealand's south island as well as a the captain of the team Flashpoint. *Peter is co founder of Paintball Sportz NZ and one of the organisors of Rotoruas "Volcanic Rotorua Paintball Tournament" held every labour weekend for the last three years and the successfull WDP tournament in Hamilton,he also plays for team ZAP NZ.
*Brendon is also a founder of Paintball Sportz,co organisor of the Rotorua and Hamilton Tournaments as well as the field operator at Paintball BOP.
*Martin Dannafaerd is a member of the team Sneaky Weasel and the President of the New Zealand Paintball Players Association (http://www.paintball.co.nz).
*Kyn is a member of the melborne based pro team JETTS and a field operator at the Auckland field Actions Paintball.
*Michael is a referee and will be involved in the media coverage of the event.

Paintball is an extreme sport that is growing in popularity worldwide, with thousands of websites, shops and fields worldwide. Some consider it the third most popular extreme sport in the United States with at least 9 million people playing at least once in 2002.
