For the third consecutive year, the Open de Catalunya, organized by Can Garriga and Paintball World, with the collaboration of Portal Paintball, calls again all its participants for the last weekend of the month of January.

The III Open de Catalunya will take place on the 29th and 30th of January and the chosen place will be the same one that the past year, the facilities of the Club Aire Libre, in Tossa De Mar (Girona).

The format will be 5 vs. 5, central flag and the rules used will be the European Circuit Millennium Series Rules, although with some adaptations. The number of fields will oscillate between four and five

The international acceptance, as well as the desire of the organizers to continue maintaining an independent championship in Spain, has been both factors that have contributed to the continuity of this project.

The 56 teams obtained in the second edition who came from different corners of the world, as well as the great amount of positive commentaries that were generated around the event in the international forums of paintball, has laid the foundations of what will be this III Open de Catalunya

In the last edition teams from 11 countries didn’t want to lose the appointment. France came with 23 teams, Spain with 11, England with 5, Germany and Belgium with 3, Portugal and the U.S.A. with 2 and Italy, Switzerland, Greece and Venezuela with 1 each one. Between the presents, we had the attendance of teams that habitually participate in the Millenniun Series: Dorian Golak, Black Out, Wombles, Virus, Estratego, Evil Pigs... The Americans Dynasty also travelled to Spain to participate in the Open.

Ever since the II Open finalized, the organization started up with the preparations of the third edition. This year the tournament will count on numerous new features on which we will be informing little by little: more brands, more equipment, more prizes, improvements in the facilities, surprises...


For this third edition due to the great demand of participation the limit has been set in 70 teams, being the teams already confirmed. The price of the inscription is of 450 euros, if the team makes the payment before the 15 of December, and 550 euros, for the team that pay after that date, and always before the 20 of January.
