PREFERRED PAINTBALL INSURANCE
American Paintball League

Insurance now available for fields with no previous experience.

The AMERICAN PAINTBALL LEAGUE announced that USF&G Insurance Company has approved certain PTI training certifications in lieu of three years field operations experience that had previously been required. This paintball field insurance program offered by the APL is a preferred risk program. In order to qualify for the superior rates, fields were required to produce loss run statements showing any claims history for the previous three years. Since new fields often had no previous experience, they were routinely declined by the program.

It is now possible for new field operators who have received either the C6 or the C1/C2 PTI certifications, to apply for this admitted insurance program. Field operators who previously attended PTI classes have historically experienced far fewer claims, and the insurance companies have taken notice. USF&G is the third insurance company to offer special opportunities to PTI graduates.

Bob McGuire (APL President) has been instrumental in the development of several ASTM standard paintball field operating procedures, which serve as industry accepted practices today. The APL has more experience than any other insurance program serving the paintball industry, having insured nearly three thousand different playing fields over the past 14 years.

Persons wanting information about the insurance program can call APL at 1-800-541-9169. Information about PTI training classes can be found on their website: www.paintball-pti.com.
