The 15th Anniversary Celebration for the Draxxus/Empire International Amateur Open presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods is shaping up to be a blockbuster! Scheduled just after the NPPL Denver event, trucks and vendors are making the trek to Pittsburgh July 27-31st to join in the celebration. OLN (Outdoor Living Network) will be on location filming for an upcoming television show.

The week starts off with the Industry conference featuring an unprecedented Keynote address by four-time Super Bowl winner, former Pittsburgh Steeler Rocky Bleier. The morning will kick-off with the unveiling of New Products on Parade. According to event producer Debra Dion Krischke, “ I’ve been in our industry for 24 years and heard many people say they have products that will revolutionize the industry. The weekend will see the return of scenario players as Black Cat Paintball presents ” The Dukes of Hazzard! “. This two day role-playing adventure is just pure fun and brings back woods ball at its best.

Sponsors are coming on board daily to add to the players’ enjoyment! Once again AKALMP has tagged their name to the coveted Sportsmanship Awards. Tippman will be supplying a barrel sock for every player as well as their unique airfield. Pev’s Paintball will be featured at the conference as well as on the golf carts. Guerilla Air will be supporting the event with identification tags to keep track of whose who in the Zoo! And NXE will be offering a full Gear outfitting to lucky teams finding The Golden Ticket in their paint boxes.

National Paintball Supply is celebrating their 15th Anniversary and inviting everyone to an indoor block party at the Four Points Sheraton. It’ll be rockin with lots of activities for everyone. A few of the highlights include: A VIP Martini and Cigar Bar, a Gun Cruise to showcase the best pimped out markers at the IAO, Celebrity signings, Buffo – The Worlds Stongest Clown and more! This will also be the place where the 3-player and Owners Group Division awards will be handed out.

Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball X-Box Challenge will be held every evening at the Sheraton with Greg and other game celebrities on location. Mr. U, Mattie Marshall, Ollie Lang, Nicky Cuba, Bob Long, Tom Cole and others will be in town doing the Paintball Clinic and Tech classes at the IAO. Presented by Game Battles. com this will be seen on line by over 200,000 gamers!

The NPPL will be offering a Pro-Ref clinic as well as series points toward the NPPL Super 7 Series and rankings. Chuck Hendsch and Dan Perez will be instructing refs over the 2-day ref clinic. Bob Long will also be on location teaching an Intimidator tech clinic.
