NEW PEVS BALTIMORE STORE OPENING
Pevs Paintball

Pev's Paintball announces the purchase of Outdoor Sportsman in Baltimore, MD

Outdoor Sportsman has been around for nearly 20 years as a Hunting and Fishing Sporting Goods Store, but in the past 5 years began carrying paintball supplies. Jack Barnhart, previous owner of Outdoor Sportsman, began phasing out the hunting and fishing supplies inventory in the past two years and increasing the paintball inventory as the sport popularized in the region. Pev’s will change the name and offer only paintball supplies at this new location. The hunting and fishing supplies have been completely phased out at the time of purchase by the Pev’s Paintball. The sale also included the purchase of the 6,000 square foot building that was home to Outdoor Sportsman.

As part of the recent expansion of the Pev’s retail chain, which includes the recent merger with the Cousins stores in New York and New Jersey, Pevs will now have 18 locations. Pev’s locations include eight in the Washington DC market, two in the Baltimore, Maryland market, one in the New Jersey Market and seven in the New York Market, making Pev’s the Largest Paintball Retail Chain and Largest Paintball Park Chain in the United States. Mike Peverill, CEO of Pev’s had this to say “We have a lot of customers in the Baltimore area that visit our Rockville, Maryland store but were unhappy about the commute. Customers have been requesting us to open Pev’s in the Baltimore area so they wouldn’t have to drive to the Washington DC market to shop at Pev’s. Our Management Team researched the area and found the demographics sufficient for us to support opening stores in that area. We are very excited about the move and so are our customers.”

Pev’s will officially take over operation of this location on July 15, 2005 and will begin offering their great selection, exceptional service, and low pricing always found at Pev’s. Pev’s will be moving some veteran employees and managers from its Washington, DC market to operate this new Pev’s location. “We wanted to ensure continuity, and a smooth transition, so it was important for us to move members of our experienced staff to the Baltimore region. We have already begun training new managers at our Washington, DC Headquarters to assume their positions in the DC Market” according to Todd Peverill, COO of Pev’s Paintball.
