XPSL AND GPL MERGE

XPSL and GPL merge and create the world’s largest paintball event company.

The West Coast Xtreme Paintball Sports League and the East Coast Global Paintball League have joined forces and formed Extreme Events which will now be the largest event only paintball company in existence.

Extreme Events will base its operations in Salem, Oregon and be run by Dan Bonebrake and Shawn Walker. Dan and Shawn will promote and manage the XPSL, GPL and other paintball tournaments across the United States.

Dan Bonebrake has been in the paintball industry for over 10 years and has made a name for himself as a former professional player on world champion team Avalanche as well a tournament promoter with the Great Western Series, Pan Am Circuit and the XPSL. He has shaped tournament paintball on the west coast and continues to improve on what a paintball tournament should be.

Shawn Walker started in the paintball industry as a field and store owner and over the past 2 years has ran the XPSL and coordinated other local and regional events on the West Coast including Cal Jam 8. As a former tournament player, he strives to break down preconceived ideas of tournament paintball events and try to add more value for the paintball player.

Brian Barno and Cyndi Poole have run the GPL since its inception 7 years ago and will still be helping with event day operations.

Brian is a former professional player and has been in the industry as a store and field owner since 1992. Cyndi has worked with numerous tournament circuits, including the NPPL, to help organize and run registration booths and membership ID’s.

“Brian and Cyndi have done a great job with the GPL and we are excited to work with them and build off their success. The future of the GPL looks very bright.” –Shawn Walker

Both the XPSL and GPL will see immediate improvements with added vendors, sponsors and media exposure plus a full time dedicated office staff to answer questions and take registrations. Teams wanting to register for the upcoming GPL event August 20 & 21st in Pedricktown, NJ or the XPSL event September 2-4th in Redlands, CA should contact the Extreme Events office.
