Team Vengeance Charity Fundraiser at NPPL San Diego to Benefit Becky’s House

SAN DIEGO, CA, AUGUST 22, 2005: Team Vengeance and the San Diego Paintball Club will host a charity fundraiser at the National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) San Diego Tournament at Qualcomm Stadium on September 16-18, 2005. For a modest $5 contribution, donors may purchase a raffle ticket or try to win raffle tickets in games of chance. Prizes will be awarded throughout the weekend. The grand prize, which will be awarded on Sunday, the final day of the event, will be a new Alias Intimidator. Team Vengeance, a San Diego team well known for their success and their unique & innovative public relations team, the Vengeance Girls, is a tournament team who is dedicated to giving back to the San Diego community.

The designated recipient of this fundraiser is Becky’s House, a transitional home for victims of domestic violence. This shelter consists of ten townhouses and is managed by the YWCA of San Diego County. In addition to providing residents with shelter, the staff at Becky’s House also offers each family extensive counseling services and job training assistance. It is hoped that within two years, the families are able to reestablish themselves in permanent housing.

Unfortunately, domestic violence remains a significant problem in San Diego. The alarming rate of injuries and fatalities related to domestic violence indicates the urgent need for additional programs like Becky’s House. In 2003 alone, 19 fatalities were attributed to domestic violence. Currently, we are raising money to build Becky’s House 2, which would provide a safe haven for fourteen women like “Becky”, and their children. For more information about Becky’s House

Team Vengeance thanks NPPL for their support in this charity fundraiser. The team is actively seeking additional corporate sponsorship for this event. Potential corporate sponsors are invited to contact us at (858) 549-2980 or info@teamvengeance.com.
