Straight Shot, manufacturer of the Straight Shot squeegee is acquired

Tippmann Sports, the world-leading manufacturer of high performance paintball markers and related accessories, has purchased Straight Shot, Inc., manufacturer of the Straight Shot squeegee. Under terms of the deal, which was finalized on September 9, Tippmann assumes ownership of the Straight Shot brand and all existing inventory of the company’s products. Financial details were not disclosed. However, it was announced that Straight Shot founder and owner, Tom Harrison, would stay on as a Tippmann advisor.

“This is certainly an exciting development for Tippmann,” said Patrick Ehren, vice president of sales and marketing for Tippmann Sports. “We’ve enhanced our product offering and expanded our growth potential by adding another industry-leading brand to the company’s portfolio. This deal just makes sense because Tippmann and Straight Shot complement each other so well in terms of products and marketplace position.”

Tippmann plans to add the Straight Shot squeegee to its expanding line of accessories, which also includes the recently launched Cyclone Feed System and Camouflage Graphics Kit. The squeegee will be co-branded under the Tippmann and Straight Shot names to leverage the strength of both brands.

The Straight Shot squeegee is widely considered among the industry’s most popular. In fact, more than one million units have been sold since being introduced in 1988. Paintball enthusiasts around the globe now rely on the Straight Shot to remove paint or condensation from their marker barrels quickly and efficiently.

“I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Straight Shot for the past seventeen years,” Harrison added. “Plus, I’d like to ask for your continued loyalty to both Straight Shot and Tippmann Sports. Tippmann is committed to creating innovative, well designed and dependable products and they have an extremely solid track record in the industry. I’m confident they’re the right company to carry on the proud Straight Shot tradition.”

Inventory has already been moved to Tippmann headquarters in Fort Wayne, Ind. and all future orders will ship from there.
