BERSERKS REBORN

The Berserks are back and brand new

What is a “Berserk”?

Well, an online search results in the following definition:

“In old-Norse sagas, they were warriors who dressed themselves in bear skins, to make use of the fear common people had for wild animals. They whipped themselves up to a sort of battle frenzy, biting their shields and howling like animals. They were ferocious fighters and seemingly insensitive to pain while this madness lasted; berserks made formidable enemies.

In their rage they even attacked the boulders and trees of the forest;
it was not uncommon that they killed their own people. The belief in
berserks can be compared with the belief in werewolves; both are magical
transformations of humans who assume the shape of an kindred animal”

But, the Berserks are also a paintball team I used to run, that many
“old timers” in the sport remember as one of the best in Europe.

The last time the Berserks stepped onto a tournament field, the team got 2nd place in the Pro Division at the Maxs Masters.

The team went out of existence in 2001, when it was folded into the Ugly
Ducklings (now Copenhagen Ducks).

Now, with my recent split from the Copenhagen Ducks, it has been decided to
revitalise the old team name, and I herewith take great pleasure in
presenting my new Berserks to you:

Christian Baltzar
Christian Rasmussen
Daniel Nilant
Freddie Brockdorff
Fredrik Moberg
Jesper Kold
Kenneth Kleist
Mats Paulsson
Mikael Stokholm
Morten Petersen
Nicklas Poulsen
Per Schönström
Peter Jacobsson
Peter Wulff

The squad is a mix of the biggest talents in Denmark and Sweden, and is extremely ambitious and dedicated.

The team practices several times per week, and it is the declared goal to
become the best paintball team in Europe.

In the 2006 season we will be playing full Millennium Series, Full NES
(Nordic Series) and 4-5 Centurio/EPPL events, as well as assorted events we
find interesting.

Team logo, homepage and news on sponsors are forthcoming, so watch out for
our next press release.

Nick Brockdorff
Team Captain
