Tippmann Sports and BT Paintball Designs settle lawsuit.



Tippmann Sports, LLC, BT Paintball Designs, Inc., and Ben Tippmann announced today that they have reached an amicable settlement of a lawsuit involving various intellectual property issues. Tippmann Sports initiated the lawsuit against BT Paintball and Ben Tippmann in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, Fort Wayne Division in 2004 and BT Paintball and Ben Tippmann asserted a number of counterclaims against Tippmann Sports in response to the suit.

As part of the settlement, the specific terms of which are confidential, he parties have agreed to take several steps to avoid the possibility of any trademark conflicts in the marketplace.

Tippmann Sports is a leading manufacturer of high quality/innovative paintball markers and accessories and has been in the paintball business for twenty years under the TIPPMANN trademark. BT Paintball is a company
formed by Ben Tippmann in 2003 and BT Paintball has developed a line of high quality/innovative paintball products and accessories. BT Paintball and its products are not affiliated or otherwise associated with Tippmann
Sports or any of Tippmann Sports’ products and neither Tippmann Sports nor BT Paintball endorse, sponsor or approve of each other’s products.
