VIPER PAINTBALL GOES TO THE ALAMO
Viper

Inaugural commanders announced for the first annual Alamo siege event.

A new event is on the horizon for the Southwest United States. The first annual Alamo siege, produced by Viper Paintball, will take place at "The Bunkers" paintball field in Copperas Cove, Texas May 27, 2006. This event will take place around a two-story Alamo fortress, and will feature three differently formatted sieges. Although not a "reenactment" event where players are expected to act out what happened, the sieges will be based on three key assaults that happened during the historical thirteen-day siege on the original Alamo.

For this, the first annual Alamo siege, we have chosen two very special commanders;

Ken “Ninja” Prejean, co-captain of Team Odyssey, has accepted the role of Lieutenant Colonel William Barret Travis, commander of the Alamo fortress and all Texian Army regulars within. Team Odyssey is one of the most
well known teams in the Louisiana/Texas region and they have been making a name for themselves on a more national level as of late, including being one of the key teams on the victorious side at Florida’s Grand Finale last
year.

Lawrence “TB” Wright of Thunderstruck will be taking command of the attackers as General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. Thunderstruck is a multi-state team as well with members from all over the eastern US. “TB” is one
of the most controversial players in the sport for his “no quarter” attitude toward play. He may very well be one of the most calculating and effective players in scenario paintball.

This game will become legendary as the first. The annual Alamo siege event is expected to become a major staple in this region of the country, and Dennis Henry’s vision of The Alamo at his facility, “The Bunkers” in
Copperas Cove, Texas includes plenty of plans for future growth, expansion, and modification as the event grows in attendance each year.
