Dynasty takes NPPL Championship with Smart Parts Shockers

In their fifth consecutive NPPL series Championship, San Diego Dynasty wins the Commander's Cup shooting the Smart Parts Shocker.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 25, 2006 – In a season starting with roster changes that some predicted would sink the team, the Southern California professional powerhouse Team Dynasty played full force through the year to bring home their fifth consecutive professional division NPPL Championship, a feat unparalleled in tournament paintball history.

This year wasn't all smiles for Dynasty, as new players and roster changes had an impact early in the season. “It was definitely tough to get a strong foothold – though taking 2nd place the first two events wasn’t bad. There are so many teams that want to be in the position we’re in. We’ve learned we couldn’t take winning so often for granted,” says team captain Ryan Greenspan.

The Commander's Cup in Orange County, California was the season finale for the 2006 NPPL Super-7 World Series of Paintball. After playing through the preliminary and quarterfinal rounds without losing a single game, Dynasty faced off against Sacramento XSV and Stockholm Joy Division in the semifinals and finals, coming out victorious to win the tournament.

For the past two years, Dynasty players have been exclusively shooting Shocker paintball markers from Smart Parts powered by Max Flo compressed air systems. Greenspan commented on the edge they get with the Shocker, “The guns are so much smaller and lighter than what we used 3-4 years ago and Smart Parts is constantly making new upgrades and pieces for everything. Something that is consistently good is getting better and better.”

They weren't the only winners in Orange County fielding the Smart Parts Shocker or Ion – Semi-Pro team Miami Raiders came home with a first place trophy as well as the Semi-Pro series championship and an advancement into the professional ranks for 2007. Dynasty Entourage took the title of Division II Series Champions.

With five championships earned, and more to come, Dynasty players will be fielding the Dynasty Shocker NXT in 2007, because Equipment Counts.
