SMART CORPS JOINS THE WORLD AT TWC
Smart Parts

The Smart Corps Special Forces were on hand at the Tippmann World Challenge to help win the day!

Loyalhanna, PA – November 25, 2008 - Pinckney Michigan was the scene of the Tippmann vs. the World showdown on the weekend of September 28 and 29th, 2008. Though the Tippmann team was well organized and prepared for the two days of scenario style competition, the Smart Corps led World team was ahead by 1400 points by the end of the day on Saturday after a day of battle under the leadership of Generals Sean Scott of the Smart Corps Factory Team and Bob Allison, a recreational player, who was at the head of the line to sign up for the privilege of being General for the day.

As with all scenario games, there were many objectives to achieve throughout the weekend, but none could compare to the difficulty and the high point value of the Bravo and Archie objectives. Objective Bravo was a foxhole surrounded by pill boxes, with a flag station in its center. Because it was located on the high ground of a hill, clearing out the objective of an occupying force was difficult at best.

The other key objective, Archie bunker, was made up of plywood bunkers spread out through a wooded field, another easily defensible position with trees all around and solid cover for players to dig in and defend.

With each objective being worth 5 points per every minute held, the contention for these two positions became very heated. Throughout the day, the Bravo and Archie objectives proved very hard to capture and even harder to secure. Through fierce determination the World Team kept their focus and was well in the lead by the end of Saturday's play.

Sunday the World team was led by teammates from the Grassy Knoll Gunmen, a Smart Corps Tactical Squad team out of the Washington D.C. Area. Generals George and Tom, who did a fantastic job throughout the day maintaining the World lead, finished the game a stunning 1700 points ahead of the Tippmann team.

Back in the staging area, the the Smart Parts employees and supporters manned the grill to provide complimentary burgers and hot dogs to Smart Corps members, while tech support and tech training was available to owners – and future owners of Smart Parts markers.

“It was a great opportunity to give a lot of players their first 'hands-on' look at an SP-1,” said Sean Scott, “A lot of people are used to the idea that you need a blowback marker to play in the woods, but when they see just how much more accurate, fast and quiet you can shoot with an SP-1, and how durable and super-simple it is to maintain compared to a blowback marker, it's really eye opening.”

The Smart Corps team of players would like to thank the Tippmann players for a great weekend of well-played paintball, and those players of the World team who tasted Victory through Diversity. Additional thanks go to Maverick from Adrenaline in Canada, Tree, Wolf, Scuba Steve and Murph for helping in the Smart Parts booth and for manning the grill to provide the best chow north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
