2009 Classifications

Player Classification:

A Pro player is any player who has appeared on a Pro roster in the current season.

A Semi-Pro player is any player who has appeared on more than one Pro roster after Jan 1, 2006, or has received more than 245 ranking points from their best three Division 1 XBall events in the 2008 season.

A Division 1 player is any player who has appeared on more than one Pro, Open or Division 1 roster, or has received more than 210 ranking points from their best three Division 2 XBall events in the 2008 season.

A Division 2 player is any player who has appeared on more than one Division 2 roster, or who has received more than 165 ranking points from their best three events in all previous seasons.

A Division 3 player is any player who has played more than one Division 3 or higher event, or who has played three or more PSP events prior to the current season.

A Division 4 player is any player with any previous PSP or Millennium event experience.


For the purposes of computing the sum of the best three scores, a player that plays up two or more divisions will receive a 100 for that event, and a player playing up one division will receive their score for that event plus 50, with a maximum score of 100.

A player's classification is the highest classification that applies.


Roster Limits:

A Pro Race2-7 roster may have players of any class.

A Semi-Pro Race2-7 roster may have up to two Pro players and any number of Semi-Pro and lower players.

A Division I Race2-5 roster may have up to two Semi-Pro players and any number of Division 1 and lower players.

A Division II Race2-5 roster may have up to two Division 1 players and any number of Division 2 and lower players.

A Division III Race2-4 roster may have up to two Division 2 players and any number of Division 3 and lower players.

A Division III-Intro Race2-4 roster may not have any players who have played more than two PSP XBall events, nor any D2 or higher players.

A Division III Race2-2 roster may have up to one D2 player and any number of Division 3 and lower players.

A Division IV Race2-2 roster may have up to one D3 player and any number of D4 players.
