Paintball veteran Gary Shows and his years of paintball experience join the SPPL.

The SPPL is the largest and fastest growing woodsball tournament series in the country with events in Canada, Europe and Australia Salt Lake City, UT, January 30, 2009: The SPPL is pleased to introduce Gary Shows as an exciting new addition to the SPPL Management team. With 20 years of experience in the Paintball industry, Gary brings years of experience and insight to the SPPL. He also shares many of the same great values and philosophies that have become the signature of the SPPL and expected by its player and participants. His knowledge and experience in the areas of merchandising and event production will be a huge asset to the SPPL while providing more value and benefits to league Sponsors and participants.

Gary began his paintball career in 1989 at SC Village after playing a game for the first time with his son. From there, he started a team called Bad Karma and competed for the first time in a 5-man wooded event in Dallas Texas; in what was the original NPPL. Gary didn’t stop there however, he also began working with younger players to build and encourage the sport of Paintball before joining the NXL as a franchise owner of the San Diego Legacy and as a part owner of the PSP. In addition to his involvement as a player, Gary has also worked with many of the big names in paintball like Diablo Direct, Dye, Proto, Paintball Junkies, and Hybrid to name just a few.

Gary and his wife, Trina, have been married for over 22years and they have 3 sons and one daughter. His interests also include Scuba Diving where he has been actively involved as an instructor, storeowner and Dive Instructor. He has also produced many of the teaching manuals that are currently used by the NASDS (National Association of Scuba Diving Schools).
