Millennium Series 2006 – The new season is coming


The main objectives of The Millennium Series are to help paintball grow throughout Europe into a recognisable sport. To this end in 2005 we introduced the Champions Paintball League which will now be locked to the best 15 CPL teams plus the highest Division 1 team.

In 2006 we will take this further by locking Division 1 to 24 teams at the year end. In addition the top 2 Division 1 teams will be promoted to the CPL with the bottom 2 CPL teams being relegated to Division 1.

We also felt that during 2006 the standard of play in Division 3 was much higher than we expected.

The unfortunate consequence of this was that new “rookie” teams didn’t really have a place to play within the Millennium. To attract these teams and help to bring on a stream of new teams and players we will launch Division 4 next year. This division will have restrictions which will mean it is only available for those teams it was intended for.
