SPECIAL OPS PARTNERS WITH THE CFOA CFOA
The CFOA, the world's largest producer of five-man paintball tournaments, and Special Ops, manufacturers of top quality, innovative accessories and weapon systems for the world of tactical paintball, announced a sponsorship agreement has been reached between the two companies today. An influential company in the scenario paintball marketplace, Special Ops prizes will be offered by the CFOA at their new Tactical Ten-Man scenario-based competitions set to begin in late 2007.
Inspired in-part by the success of the SPPL scenario competition concept, the CFOA set out to create a scenario tournament series of their own in late 2006, a decision that led to the creation of 2007's Tactical Ten-Man division. Working in affiliation with the SPPL to grow the scenario tournament concept nation and world-wide, the CFOA will collaborate with Special Ops on all aspects of woodsball competition in an effort to further legitimize the format, which encourages fun, sportsmanship and honor.
“I've loved the Special Ops product line ever since their gear hit the market,” CFOA Sponsorship Director Joshua D. Silverman said, “but it took a while for us to figure out how to get them into the CFOA. Now that the league is reaching out to scenario and recreational players and teams in our region and working with the SPPL to do so, a partnership between the series and Special Ops is a perfect fit!”
Rory McCarthy of Special Ops agreed as he said, “Special Ops Paintball and the SPPL are excited to be a part of the finest and fastest growing regional tournament series in competitive paintball. We feel this relationship will yield mutual benefit through shared experience, promotion and competition of both the companies and players in both leagues.”
Promoting five-man tournaments since 1999 and, since last year, X-Ball events as well, the CFOA averaged 110 teams at league events in 2006. With events placed at the very best paintball park facilities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee and players from as far away as Australia, the CFOA continues to offer intense yet family-friendly competition for players of all skill levels throughout the southeastern United States. A full schedule of events, registration information, prize and sponsor lists and more are available from the official league website at www.thecfoa.com.
Special Ops, manufacturers and resellers of all things woodsball, have redefined recreational and tactical paintball in the United States since their entry into the marketplace. From vests and performance clothing to Tippmann upgrades to transform a paintball gun into a true scenario weapon, Special Ops offers every product a player in the woods could ever need. The driving force behind the SPPL scenario paintball league, Special Ops provides players of all skill levels both the means and opportunity to enjoy the game of paintball in its purest and original form.
