Smart Parts Announces Tactical Freak and Rain Front.

The Freak Tactical Front brings bore to paint matching performance to the scenario realm while the Rain Front keeps the barrel interior dry.

Loyalhanna, PA – February 16, 2007 – Smart Parts, Inc., is proud to announce the latest additions to The Freak barrel product line.

In the world of paintball, The Freak is unparalleled. Not only is it a complete multi-part barrel system which can adapt to paintballs of varying diameters and different marker threads, but it can also quickly change style, accepting any one of Smart Parts' threaded barrel fronts.

Since its 2006 release, the Smart Parts Tactical barrel for Smart Parts, Tippmann 98, Spyder and Spyder M series markers has been a smash hit in the woods. At a whopping 20 inches in length the tactical barrel blends ultra-quiet straight line porting with a milsim styled muzzle brake, all of which is coated in Smart Parts' hard anodized, lubricating finish. The barrel's exterior is matte textured for maximum player concealment.

Now the Freak Tactical Front brings the styling and stealth of the Tactical Barrel to the paint and bore matching performance of the Freak. Freak Tactical Fronts are available to combine with Freak or Freak Jr. backs in overall lengths of 16 or 20 inches.

For the serious paintball player, a little rain never gets in the way of a good game, but it can get in the way of accuracy. As raindrops hit a barrel, they can splash inside through barrel ports. Water in the barrel can lead to reduced accuracy, wild hook shots and even barrel breaks. The new Freak Rain Front is an All American style (slender wall, mirror honed hard anodized finish) barrel front without any porting. Specifically designed for use on days with rain or heavy condensing mist, this new barrel front eliminates the need for taping or covering barrel ports on rain days – its solid high-grade aluminum construction keeps water out of the bore.
