Store and field owners from 17 States and Canada converged on the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, for the 3rd annual Paintball Extravaganza. The event, held on January 5 & 6, 2007 is the only industry trade show exclusively for store and field owners. 32 manufacturers, distributors and other paintball related businesses displayed their products in a setting uninterrupted by the normal tournament setting.

Certified tech classes were held by Smart Parts, PMI, National Paintball Supply and BT Paintball Design, with 122 certificates being awarded. Tippmann Sports also certified 31 participants through their 4 hour product certification program and over 40 people attended the Paintball Business School presented by Procaps, by long-time industry personalities Craig Miller and Mike Peverill.

A media forum was presented by Caryn Feldman of Paintball Sports Magazine with Bea Youngs. Thomas Ghee, of the Paintball Buying Group, held a forum on using the buying group concept for competitive purchasing of product. Field safety was presented to field owners by NSERA Insurance and Myti Sports presented a field design forum. Rounding out the forum training sessions was a presentation by Bea Youngs and Mike Paxson on their player training school held at various fields around the country.

A discussion session on scenario and big games was led by Jabba of Blue’s Crew with valuable input from Ben Torricelli, owner of Millennium Paintball Productions. The popular Business Owners Round Table was attended by many of the store and field owners and was moderated by Thomas Ghee. Industry relations, insurance major corporate sponsorship and referee issues were just a few of the many topics discussed.

Also participating in the event was Spyder, Python Paintball, X.O. Industries, Ratco, Catilina Cylinders, NXe, Archon, Atomic Ordnance, Smokin Products, American Paintball, Arrow Precision, Hammerhead, Tech T, Wildfire Paintball, Nelson, Severe Paintball, Tactmark, Paintball Store Owner’s Association, E Money, Jabot Industries, Rufus Dawg and TurfOutlet.com.

“Prior to the formation of this event, I used to travel to several "tournament" trade shows each year. I got more value from Rick's first show than all the "tournament" shows I had attended combined. It is the only event I now attend. Thanks again Rick. I'll see you next year.” – Jim of Action Packed Paintball of Minnesota

The event will be returning to Atlanta in 2008 and guarantees to continues to grow. Be part of the “cannot miss” event for stores, fields and the industry. For more information on the event, go to www.pb-events.com
