TIPPMANN SPONSORS THE CFOA CFOA
Tippmann Sports, one of the most respected names in the paintball industry and producer of the most reliable and durable line of paintball guns in the history of the sport have reached an agreement with
Joshua D. Silverman to sponsor the CFOA tournament series. The multi-year agreement reached between Tippmann Sports and the CFOA brings the versatile new X7 marker into the much-anticipated CFOA Tactical Ten-Man Division as a top prize.
"It's a huge honor for a legendary company like Tippmann, so instrumental in shaping the game we play, to join the CFOA family," said an ecstatic Joshua D. Silverman, Director of league Marketing and Sponsorship when the agreement was reached. "We're excited about the Tactical Ten-Man format for the new season and we're extremely happy that Tippmann is as excited as we are. It makes me want to dust off my SMG-60, stripper clips and twenty-ounce siphon tank and find a team to play with myself!"
In late 2006, Tippmann Sports followed up on the success of the success of their 98 Custom and A5 models by joining forces with Special Ops to release the most upgradeable scenario paintball weapon ever produced, the X7. Standard with a long list of features from semiautomatic firepower to sight rails and an upgraded Cyclone Feed System, the X7 can be extensively upgraded and modified with factory accessories produced and marketed by Tippmann and Special Ops to create the ultimate scenario marker. Available accessories include the Tippmann Flatline back-spin barrel, double triggers, reactive trigger kits and bolt-on parts transforming the X7 into an M4/M16, AK-47, G36 or MP5 look-a-like. Players are invited to build their own custom X7 at either www.tippmann.com or www.specialopspaintball.com, or at their local paintball pro-shop.
"Tippmann is excited to support the CFOA's Tactical Ten-Man events," stated Erich Garbers, Promotions Manager of Tippmann Sports. "Through our support of events like the SPPL and CFOA Tactical Ten-Man Division, Tippmann aims to bring attention and respect back to paintball's roots in the form of competitive woodsball!"
The largest producer of five-man paintball tournaments in the world, the CFOA 2007 Queen City Masters drew a staggering 132 five-man teams to become the largest event in league history, then promptly shattered that record with a whopping 145 teams at the Dixie Cup near Atlanta. For 2007 the CFOA will produce five-man beginner, rookie and novice events, Division 2 and Division 3 XBall tournaments and, new for 2007, Tactical Ten-Man scenario competitions in cooperation with the SPPL. Hosted as some of the most popular scenario and woodsball venues in the Southeast region, excitement is high as preparation is already underway for the 2007 CFOA Tactical season!
