DYNASTY WINS BOSTON NPPL
Smart Parts

Undefeated four-time NPPL Series Champions, San Diego Dynasty win the NPPL Super 7 World Series Boston tournament with the Smart Parts Shocker NXT and Epiphany.

Loyalhanna, PA – July 18, 2007 – Teams from around the world converged on Brockton Fairgrounds just outside of Boston, MA this past weekend to find out who was the best of the best at the 2007 NPPL Super 7 World Series of Paintball tournament.

After a rough time in the preliminary round, San Diego Dynasty made the cut which broke down the 18 competing professional teams into the “Elite 8.”

“We didn't do as good as we would have liked on Saturday,” said Dynasty back player Brian Cole, “but we really stepped up on Sunday.”

According to Cole, the light weight, speed, and accuracy of the Shocker NXT, combined with the security of knowing he's got enough air to blast out more than a case of paint from the back line, are some of the factors that give Dynasty the winning edge.

Through their 7 games in the Elite 8 round, Dynasty did some serious damage to the other teams, finishing with the best total score of the round.

In the semifinals and finals rounds, the best two out of three game format upped the tension. With a win, a tie and a win, Dynasty defeated the Pittsburgh All Americans for the right to face off against Los Angeles Infamous in the Finals match.

Dynasty's first finals game against Infamous ended hard. After a game winning flag hang for Dynasty, a referees decision was overturned, and the game declared a tie. In game two, Dynasty played it tight, and came out victorious. Needing a tie or a win to take the tournament, Dynasty played conservatively for the third game, focusing on keeping all 7 players alive at the break with guns up and playing to win. The strategy worked and Dynasty came out on top, shooting out all of the Infamous players, hanging the flag, winning the game and securing the tournament trophy.

Since the creation of the NPPL Super-7 World Series tournaments in 2003, only one team has ever achieved the rank of series champions. For the last four years, San Diego Dynasty has held their position as kings of the league, and their Boston win has significantly expanded their lead toward the series title.

Winning paintball competitions at this level takes skill, dedication and the right equipment. Out of Boston's four pro finalists, both Dynasty and the All Americans relied on Smart Parts markers, barrels and air systems, making it easy to see why we say Equipment Counts.
