RIVER CITY OPEN WINNING AMATEURS Smart PartsRiver City Open winning amateurs rely on Smart Parts
Taking the podium for X-Ball and 5 Man, Smart Parts teams dominated on the paintball fields at the PSP River City Open.
Loyalhanna, PA - August 7, 2007 - San Diego Aftermath has maintained their solid lead in series ranking points throughout the 2007 PSP Open Class X-Ball season. After a strong showing at the Los Angeles Open, Aftermath went on to win the Mid-Atlantic Open, the Chicago open and took a second place win at the latest tournament, the River City Open. Aftermath cruised through the preliminary rounds with four solid wins, then crushed their semi final competition with an 8-0 score, but had a rough two games in the finals, costing them the first place trophy. However, their determination and drive have kept them steady throughout the season, and they have held onto their lead in the series ranking points by a margin of nearly 44 points. Shooting the Smart Parts Shocker NXT, the Freak barrel system and Max-Flo Micro air system, San Diego Aftermath is the Open Class favorite heading into the series finale at the PSP Paintball World Cup in October. They know that equipment counts and we know how to provide the professional level equipment to put this amateur team on the cusp of the big leagues.
Division 2 X-Ball team Drama held their heads high through the Omaha competition, shooting the Smart Parts Shocker NXT, Max-Flo Micro Air system and Freak Barrel kits. The team blew through its four preliminary round matches, winning all their games, then taking the quarter finals undefeated. They went on to win in the semi finals and their finals match against Vicious, the series' top team, to take home first place at the River City Open. Drama has had a full season this year at the PSP, taking fourth place at the Chicago Open and having a good showing at Los Angeles.
Maintaining their series rank of first place, DBS Kidz took their Division 3 X-Ball competition by storm this past weekend, playing every game undefeated. Taking to the field with Shocker NXTs, the team has won half of the PSP competitions so far this year, the LA Open and now the River City Open. In Chicago they placed third in the finals round and took 7th at the MAO. All in all, DBS Kidz has shown grit and determination through the season and is the leading contender for the World Cup series title.
Not to be left out, the five man competition featured series leaders DBSPaintball.com as well. In Division 4 five man, they faced off against 40 River City Open teams. Using the Smart Parts Epiphany, DBSPaintball.com took 7 of their preliminary wins and moved onto the next round of games. Their quarter and semi final games saw a max, a win and a loss for a move into the final round. After a pair of hard games, the team maintains their status in the series ranking of first place. DBSPaintball.com has played each of the PSP events this year, making a strong showing at the LA Open in fifth place, taking second place at the MAO, placing third at the Chicago Open and winning second place at the River City Open. All that time at the podium has secured them the top spot in the series ranking, giving them a 31 point margin going into the last event of the season.
The dedication of these teams can't be denied. It is no coincidence that so many top amateur teams rely on equipment from Smart Parts. They know the time and effort it takes to make it to the top and we are there to help them with championship quality markers, barrels and air systems, because we know that equipment counts.
