ALLAMERICAN OPEN GOES INTERNATIONAL
Smart Parts

Set in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the All-American Paintball Park hosted a paintball tournament .

Hosting paintball tournaments is certainly not a new venture for Smart Parts, Inc. which has produced nationally sanctioned professional paintball competitions and the televised Smart Parts World Paintball Championships. This latest tournament was held at the first class facilities of the All-American Paintball Park in Greensburg, PA. Situated alongside the corporate offices of Smart Parts and the full size indoor field were two outdoor X-Ball fields just waiting for competition to start.

Eighteen novice teams came to compete for the chance to receive 7 Epiphany markers and 7 Ions as first place prizes. Likewise, five amateur teams came to fight it out for the chance at 7 Shocker NXT's and 7 Ions for their first place winnings. Playing with a full X-Ball squad, all 23 teams hit the fields using the X-Ball Lite format.

“The event was a huge success,” said Tim Montressor. “We had teams from Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and two international teams, one from Toronto Canada and the other all the way from Chili.”

Showing off the Smart Parts family, the tournament was run by Smart Parts employees and team members from the professional tournament teams that Smart Parts sponsors. “One of the best things about this tournament was that so many teams got to see the X-Ball format for the first time,” said Montressor. “We had a lot of spectators just learning the game format for the first time.”

Finishing out their games, the amateur bracket had a tight match with East Coast Killers taking on the Toronto Mavericks. The Mavericks, with just 30 seconds to spare, won with a score of 5-4, securing their top place win and taking home the Shockers and Ions as prizes.

The novice teams were a tighter grouping, having more competition, but DC Factor came out on top, running down to the last second against the University of Tennessee in a close match.

The first place finishers weren't the only teams to receive Smart Parts markers though. In the Amateur division, second place finishers, East Coast Killers took home 7 Epiphany's while the Novice bracket team, University of Tennessee took home 7 Ions. Third place Amateur team, Misfit Toys took home 7 Ions, while Novice third place team, 8 Foot Army took home seven Freak Kits.
