Dynasty wins San Diego and NPPL Championship

Undefeated NPPL Super 7 World Series Champions, San Diego Dynasty wins the NPPL Commander's Cup in San Diego and takes the 2007 annual championship with the Smart Parts Shocker NXT and Epiphany.

Loyalhanna, PA – December 5, 2007 – Some of the best paintball teams from around the world converged on Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California for the 2007 NPPL Super 7 World Series of Paintball Commander's Cup tournament.

Dynasty played through the tournament's preliminary round finishing as the pro leader with the most points earned. In the following "Elite 8" round, Dynasty was again highest ranked based on score, and successive wins carried them through the semifinals and finals to claim a first place pro victory at the tournament.

Since the creation of the NPPL Super 7 World Series tournaments in 2003, only one team has been strong enough to achieve the rank of annual series champion, and they have done it over and over again. The race for series championship involves earning ranking points by competing in the league's series of five tournaments. Winning one event doesn't do it. Becoming a champion requires a relentless pattern of wins.

Over the previous four seasons, San Diego Dynasty has held their position as kings of the league, and this year was no exception. Their victory at Qualcomm stadium cemented their fifth consecutive NPPL Super 7 championship.

“It's absolutely amazing,” said team captain Ryan Greenspan. “We had some rough patches this season, but there is nothing like the feeling of victory after we have worked so hard together as a team and a family. It just shows what you can do with dedication, heart and the right tools for the job.”

Dynasty players shoot Smart Parts markers, barrels and air systems exclusively because they know that equipment counts. The light weight, speed, and accuracy of the Shocker NXT, combined with the security of knowing they've got enough air to go through more than a case of paint from the back line, are some of the factors that give Dynasty the winning edge.

Dynasty front player Angel Fragoza made a move in the 2007 season to shooting the Smart Parts Epiphany. With its light weight, compact size and the velocity consistency afforded by its reduced volume valve chamber, it has been the perfect match for his game, but now he is switching markers again. “I saw the EOS at World Cup,” said Fragoza, “and knew I'd be making the switch. It has all the performance of the Epiphany, but it's even more sexy, and the bolt out back body makes it so much faster to clean.”
