SPPL AFFILIATE PROGRAM

SPPL Announces Affiliate Program to Support Local Feeder Events

The SPPL (Scenario Paintball Players League) Affiliate Program helps paintball field owners and teams organize sanctioned SPPL format games in their hometowns in 2008! Just as the pro speedball leagues, the NPPL and PSP, support feeder tournaments in order to encourage new players and grow the sport, the SPPL will assist local fields and teams in organizing SPPL-approved woodsball tournaments.

The affiliate program will help the SPPL grow its rookie division, encourage new players to compete in the scenario tournament series, and provide teams with a fun way to earn money for themselves or a favorite charity. Teams who organize or compete in a SPPL-affiliate event will earn extra points toward their national ranking and gain practice in the format before signing on for the SPPL Major Qualifier circuit.

For a small fee, the SPPL provides the rulebook, the entry forms, score and roster sheets, sample game schedules, and temporary SPPL ID forms, and marketing support for affiliate event.

The team or field owner organizes the event and puts together prize packages. The event organizer keeps the money from registration fees and paint sales, and earns $5 for every temporary SPPL ID card purchased at the event. In addition, the SPPL donates $200 worth of entry coupons to SPPL Major Events to give away as prizes to teams competing in an SPPL-affiliate event.

“Players read about the SPPL in paintball magazines and hear about it on the forums, but not everyone lives near the site of an SPPL Major Qualifier,” SPPL President Jayson Nielson explained. “The new SPPL Affiliate Program will allow more players at every level to enjoy the good sportsmanship, competitive play and exciting action that make the SPPL so much fun!”
