SPPL CLINIC AT GEORGIA QUALIFIER
SPPL

Darryl Trent of Smart Corps to Present Clinic at SPPL Georgia Qualifier
Woodsball legend, world-class paintball coach and Elite SPPL player Darryl Trent will host a paintball clinic for players at 3 PM Friday, March 14, at Low Country Paintball in conjunction with the SPPL Georgia Qualifier.

Trent, a member of the 2007 SPPL World Championship Smart Corps team, brings 19 years of woodsball experience to the field and, during the SPPL season-opener, will share his knowledge with SPPL players of all levels.
During the hour-long presentation, Trent will cover many important aspects of successful woods play, from common sense tips to veteran tricks-of-the-trade. Players will learn about:

Walking the field;
Reading the field;
Working and playing the bunkers;
Effective crawling techniques;
Basic equipment use and care.

In his lengthy career, Trent has played with the World Champion Ironmen and the All Americans. After retiring from pro paintball, he coached the Philadelphia Americans to consecutive championships in the NXL.

Going back to his roots as a woodsball hero, Trent presented the first SPPL clinic at the 2007 Grand Finals to a large crowd of players eager to learn from one of the best in the game. The Low Country clinic will be the first of several clinics Trent will offer during the 2008 season. The clinic is FREE to all registered SPPL participants.

“We’re always looking to provide something extra for the players,” said SPPL President Jayson Nielson. “Whether they’re rookies competing in their first event, or members of an Elite team looking to face off against the best in the game, players who attend this free clinic will walk away with insider tips and knowledge that will enhance their SPPL experience and improve their play. It’s not every day that players have a chance to learn from a legend like Darryl Trent!”

The SPPL (Scenario Paintball Player’s League), a subsidiary of Special Ops Paintball, will host nine Major Qualifier Events and the Championship Finals in 2008. The SPPL also supports Affiliate Events in the three-flag format held across the country.
