NEW RULES FOR MARKERS AT MILLENNIUM
Millennium Series

Players are responsible to have their markers tournament legal. The allowed mode will be changed for season 2008 to first 3 shots in semi-auto only and and a rate of fire of 12 balls per second.

These improvements have been implemented after intense discussions with players and industry in January. For details please see http://www.millennium-series.com/rules.php?rules=last_changes .

In total these changes will lead to
1. less paint consumption on field, saving money to the teams
2. more movement on field possible, leading to more fun for players and more excitement for spectators alike
3. more safety

When the new 12 bps cap trickles down from tournament level to recreational level, it will make transition for first timers to repeat customers to potential tournament players much easier, not scaring away first timers by high paint bill or even more welts after first time experience of paintball. This will help to sustain the healthy growth of paintball Europe enjoys till today in the years to come.
