BIG BROTHERS SISTERS CHARITY EVENT

NPPL and Big Brothers Big Sisters Charity Event in Huntington Beach

The National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) is pleased to announce a partnership with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County charity group.

Not only will Big Brothers Big Sisters have a booth set up in the NPPL Huntington Beach Tradeshow all weekend long where you can get more information on how to support their cause, but they will literally be getting right into the action by hosting three games of paintball with teams formed up only of Big Brothers with their Little Brothers on Center Court!

The games will all take place Sunday, March 30th and can be watched for free through the NPPL.com live web cast, or you can enjoy the action in person by purchasing grandstand tickets through NPPL.com prior to the event.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. Our mission is simple: to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impact. National research has shown that positive relationships between youth and their Big Brothers and Big Sisters mentors have a direct and measurable impact on children's lives. By participating in our youth mentoring programs, Little Brothers and Sisters are more confident in their schoolwork performance, able to get along better with their families, less likely to begin using illegal drugs or alcohol, and less likely to skip school.

As we celebrate 50 years of making a difference in Orange County, we are looking forward to reaching our goal of serving more than 1,450 children in 2008. How can you help?

• BE A BIG – could you serve as a mentor? We have a variety of programs to meet your needs and fit your schedule.

• RECRUIT A BIG – do you know a friend or co-worker who would make a great Big Brother or Big Sister? Do you have a company with employees who might be interested?

• SPONSOR A BIG – It costs approximately $1,500 to support a "match" – a Big Brother/Big Sister with a child - on an annual basis. Your donation, at any gift level, will support our mentoring programs.

By supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters, you'll contribute to brighter futures, betters schools and stronger communities. We have proven success. Please join us and make a difference in the life of a child. Visit www.BigBroOC.org to learn more!
