The Public Perspective on Paintball
By Doug Seman
November 1995

As a supporter of our great sport, I just thought someone should throw in a nice little message reminding everyone to be on our best behavior with regards to military references, especially those involving 'killing'. With the biggest news in the USA these days being the bombing in Oklahoma, and with paramilitary group members being implicated in it, I'm sure there will be a good sized backlash from the media and some of the government on all such paramilitary activities.

We MUST separate ourselves as much as possible from military references, and show our sport as it really is, a SPORT. This is a great activity, game, sport, whatever you want to call it, that we have here, and the next six months or so will see new attacks on from many sides unless I'm wrong (I hope I am) Be sure to put your best face forward when playing and talking about the sport so people don't push us into the hole that I see opening up under paramilitary activities and groups for a little while now.
