Jaguares Paintball
September 2002

Jaguares Paintball would like to thank the Aruba Pro-Am organizers for making this event possible and successful for the second year in a row.

This is a tournament unlike any other, first of all, is not held in the US or in Europe, so everyone is in about the same tourist level, it´s laid back, games start at 4pm so you have plenty of time to sleep and to party at night, the vibe is completely different than in most tournaments because everyone is trying to have fun and play paintball.  White sands, warm waters, lots of food and drinks are just some of the commodities that the Aruba Open had for us. Partying is mandatory and became a habit right after the games, girls were everywhere and the people of Aruba are more than happy to serve tourists.

The fields were always running and the schedule was kept to the minute, refs were friendly and despite the 90+ heat, willing to do their thing and run whenever necessary. Paint (Draxxus) was fresh and plenty, and although beer was expensive, there was always some money left in my pocket to chug on one or two.

This is a growing event, last year was smaller because of 9-11 but this year we saw a growth that will be definitely be surpassed next year, Jossy is doing a great job and the new promoters helped a lot.

We felt like home in Aruba, nice people everywhere, nice girls, great paintball and above all a great vibe.

We hope this tournament continues to grow to the point of making it the rendezvous for American-European-Caribbean-South America paintball teams, remember to go global we have to think global.

Thanks to everyone involved and we hope to see you all and the ones that missed it next year.

Special thanks to Jossy, Cole, Rabackoff, Warpig.com, WGP, Draxxus, PGI, Aruba Madness, GZ, Avalanche, the refs, Puerto Rico (Carajo!), Maxim, and everyone involved, we wish you a safe trip home and hope to see you again next year.
