HeadRush Extreme Park Nears Completion

SYRACUSE, NY – HeadRush Extreme Park construction is only weeks away from completion in Syracuse, NY. The park is located adjacent to the New York State Thruway and Interstate 690 only minutes from exits on both roads. The extreme park is the only one of its kind in the country with indoor and outdoor paintball, BMX racing and BMX trails.

HeadRush is on 50 acres of land completely developed from the ground up to provide the best in paintball and BMX. The 31,000 square foot building holds two paintball fields, or one large field measuring 125x150 the exact dimensions of the professional X-ball league. The indoor facility will also have bathroom facilities, retail store, wholesale department, conference room, full concession area and private party rooms on the upstairs mezzanine overlooking the fields.

The outdoor paintball facility is designed to be the best in the country. The paintball tournament complex is built to hold national level tournaments and includes seven playing fields in the popular U-shaped pattern. Two fields will be set up for the professional X-ball style of play with full lighting and bleachers.
There will be an additional 10 outdoor fields in the woods including a large town field, forts, rebel bases trenches and much more.

The BMX track is being constructed by the NBL (National Bicycle League) in the early spring of 2004. The track will be open throughout the week for practice and races will be held twice a week. Local riders are constructing the BMX freestyle trails with three separate trails for all skill levels so riders can enjoy freestyle BMX.

The new park will be opening in early March with a Grand Opening party soon to follow. “We are very excited about the grand opening and will soon be announcing some huge events at the park in 2004. The combination of having large events with music, extreme sports and an average of 42,000 cars passing per day will help tremendously in introducing HeadRush and extreme sports into the main stream” explains Jacob Wright president of HeadRush. Plans for phase two of construction include indoor skateboarding, BMX, restaurant, arcade and go-carts with outdoor snow tubing and skateboarding.
