NCPA Offers $500 Scholarship for College

In conjunction with Platinum and Gold Sponsors Brass Eagle, National Paintball Supply, PMI and AKA, the National Collegiate Paintball Association is pleased to announce the first college
scholarship for paintball players.

The primary consideration for selecting the scholarship recipient will be achievement promoting a positive public image for paintball. Examples would include, but are certainly not
limited to, promoting charity paintball events, conducting paintball safety or awareness campaigns, and organizing service projects performed by and attributed to members of the paintball community.

Additional consideration will be given to a candidate’s academic achievements and character, integrity and leadership as demonstrated through participation in extra curricular, civic or
community activities.

The scholarship program is the NCPA’s latest effort at highlighting the positive impact paintball participation has in communities across the country. “Our clubs and teams regularly bring positive press to paintball in their communities through their activities on and off the field,” said NCPA President Chris Raehl. “The scholarship program recognizes individual players whose actions develop a positive image for paintball at the local level.”

The deadline for submitting an application for the 2003 - 2004 school year is August 15, 2003. For more information on the scholarship program or a copy of the scholarship application,
