NPPL Miami Event Changes Dates
NPPL

NOVEMBER 7 – 9, 2003

15 Minutes from the Miami International Airport!
20 Minutes from Downtown Miami!
30 Minutes from South Beach!

Wide open spaces in the heart of metropolitan Miami! The NPPL Super 7 World Series Commander Cup event in Miami, Florida will be held among the 80 acres of Miami - Dade County Tamiami Park.

The Tamiami Park is adjacent to the Florida International University, set in the tropical landscape grounds of the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds and offers the perfect venue, location and audience needed for the Grand Finale of the 2003 Super 7 World Series. The
Super 7 is prepared for the crowds with the largest Grandstands to date; offering more than 2,800 seats for fans and acres of free parking.

For three weeks each year, this site is the host for the county fair and receives nearly one million visitors making this facility uniquely equipped for events and functions large and small, indoor and outdoor. Major expressways make it easily accessible in less than an hour’s drive to more than 2 million people who live in Miami, Miami Beach, The Florida Keys, Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast and Palm Beach and Broward counties.

More than 30 hotels and inns serve the area, offering every type of service from moderate to full-scale luxury. As with each event in the Super 7 World Series, the NPPL and Pure Promotions have blocked hotel rooms at special rates so that teams and supporters may rest assured to be locked in at the lowest rates available with a wide selection of locations and price ranges to fit any budget. These hotels and rates will be listed on www.nppl.tv this weekend!

The initial projected date for this event was in early – mid October. The decision to move this date back into November was based on a few different reasons. The weather played a key role in the date change, as well as a National Holiday. Holding the event in November makes
perfect sense. The first couple weeks of October are still Hurricane season for Miami; Where as November promises far more settled weather. The original dates and location on South beach fell through at the last minute as the city felt our show was too big to put on the beach and finding a suitable location on this date was not possible as Columbus Day related activities had booked all major venues, hotels and car rentals.

Moving the date back a few weeks gives everyone involved more time to prepare for this season’s final tournament. Teams will have an opportunity to catch their breath after the last event and get a couple more practices in before their last chance at the 2003 NPPL Super 7 World Series Title. This will also give us extra time to make sure this event is everything we want it to be... A fantastic experience for the players and another opportunity to showcase
paintball to a mainstream audience!

The COMMANDER’S CUP
It has been the NPPL and Pure Promotions’ goal from the beginning for the Commander’s Cup to be the elite of the Super 7 events. This tournament is dedicated to the late Maurice Gibb, and we’re going to pull out all stops to make sure his memory is honored appropriately with the respect he deserves.

NPPL President, Chuck Hendsch hinted at some of the event’s extra appeal by advising to “look for a lot of surprises” during the first ever NPPL Super 7 World Series Commander’s Cup. More light will be shed on the many activities surrounding the Miami event prior to the November 7 opening date on www.nppl.tv
