Ole Miss Paintball Club
PRESS RELEASE 

The Ole Miss Paintball Club becomes one of the University of
Mississippi’s Newest Organizations.

On September 27, 2000 the Ole Miss Paintball Club met to ratify its
constitution, to elect officers and to prepare to submit their application
to become a recognized organization on the University of Mississippi
campus. That application was accepted this month by University officials
thereby the University of Mississippi joined such recognizable names as Notre
Dame, Penn, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, University of Illinois,
University of Oregon all have competition paintball teams. Now the prestigious University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, joins with those renowned universities and over 200 other colleges and universities across the United States and over 400 worldwide to form campus paintball clubs and/or teams.

One of its first undertakings was the establishment of the Ole Miss Paintball website.  Established at www.OleMissPaintball.com the site is still under construction but is fully functional. 

The Ole Miss Paintball club plans a participating in a number of local, regional, and national tournaments and tournament series.  Among which are the Northeast Mississippi Paintball League, The World Paintball League, and the Pan Am series.  In addition the organization plans participation in at least 2 regional or national big games and/or scenario games.  To provide that type of play for those members not necessarily interested in tournament play.

The organization is currently in a local, regional, and national search for sponsors to help pay expenses in their many undertakings.  Costs for the
organization will be up to $10,000 and much help is needed to defray these
costs. The organization is a non-profit organization through Ole Miss, therefore, all donations are tax deductible.  In addition the organization
is looking for an industry sponsor that would help enable them to open a
playing field that is on the University of Mississippi campus.

The organization offers to all University of Mississippi students, faculty
and staff membership that is due free.  Interested University of Mississippi
