WPF Saved by Wolf Hill Paintball

February 7, 2002:  WPF Management, Inc. announced today the purchase of
World Paintball Federation by Wolf Hill Paintball, LLC of Gallatin, Tennessee. All assets and contracts will be transferred to the new owners before the 2002 tournament season begins. Officers Jim Lively and Sam Caldwell will be retained by Wolf Hill Paintball during the transitional period to ensure continuity of service. According to Gerald Alvis, owner of  Wolf Hill Paintball, “We are committed to the same standards of service teams have enjoyed previously at WPF events. Our team will be working overtime to provide WPF members with the best possible tournaments at premier game sites.”

Locations previously announced for WPF tournaments will still be utilized by the new owners. The schedule will remain virtually the same with only slight modifications. Current plans are for 8-Five Man tournaments and 8-Ten Man tournaments. The WPF 5 Man Ace Circuit will also continue with teams earning points at each event towards the World Ace and Nov Ace championship titles. In addition, points earned at the 2001 Music City Open pre-season tournament will be honored for the 2002 circuit. Details for a new 10 Man Ace Circuit are to be announced soon.

The Wolf Hill Paintball team will breath fresh new enthusiasm into WPF.
Members of the team include Gerald Alvis, owner, Ann Alvis, tournament
administrator, and Wayne and Greg Alvis, field and retail operations. Wolf Hill Paintball also operates PaintballCyberstore.com and MidSouthPaintball.com, as well as, a recreational game site in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Nelson Paintballs and present WPF sponsors have agreed to continue their
support of the tournament circuit. Attendees can expect the same quality of prizes as previously available at WPF events. Member benefits will continue unchanged and include the newly announced $65 a case pricing at WPF tournaments.
