paintballTournament number four in the Circuito Brasileiro De Paintball (CBP) took place September 29th and 30th at Gorilaz Paintball Field in São Paulo, Brazil. Gorilaz was chosen as the tournament venue, as it is well known throughout Brazil for it's maintained grass playing surfaces. The tournament was graced with good weather, for its duraction.

The tournament field was laid out with an iron cross in the center, formed by four Dorrito bunkers, qith a single beam forming the snake on one sideline, and a pair of beams with bricked ends on the opposite side. In the tournament's opening game, Ronin took down Team Hypertensos for a strong start.

paintballPapeletto finished Saturday's games with the best score for the open division, followed by Ninjinhas, Roning and Attack Rapinas. In the end, the guys from Papeletto took first place with a total of 900 points, followed by Ninjinhas 157 with 810 points and Attack Rapinas with 790 points.

In Division 4 (Amateur) there were 6 registered teams but Master Blaster Ouro was a no-show, giving the other 5 teams a buy on the score table. From the round-robin preliminary games, only 4 teams would go to the Sunday games and those were The Vikings, Bushido Kids, Bulldogs and AGP.

paintballOn Sunday each team from D4 played 3 decisive matches, their points started fresh, meaning they would all have an equal shot at first place. Vikings played though and once and quickly re-ranked themselves on top as the champions of Division 4, with 200 points. Bulldogs got the second spot with 178 points, followed by AGP with 140 points.

The Novice teams of Division 5 played their games in the same format as D4. The Cabras da Peste, from the northeast of the Brazil were playing the CBP for the first time, and made a very strong first impression on the spectators. They ended the Saturday with the best score, followed by Adrenalina JR, Made in Brasília and Chan. The preliminary round did not go so well for the experience teams, Master Blaster and Zillion - they were eliminated as the lowest ranked teams in the division.

paintballOn Sunday, the players from Chan, a team sponsored by WDP, moved up quickly and took the lead. Their victory against Made in Brasília gave him the first place for D5. The second and third place finish all came down to the last game, where Adrenalina JR defeated the Cabras da Peste. This gave a final ranking of, Chan in first place with 270 points, followed by Adrenalina Jr in second with 208 and Made in Brasília, third at 118.

The battle for the CPB series championships will culminate on the weekend of November 17th and 18th, at the Copa Brazil, which is planned to be the country's largest tournament of the year, playing on two fields with their biggest team turnout.
