April 17-19, 1998 Jim Lively returned as a tournament producer with the Music City Open.  This event features a Top Gun competition with 60 competitors, a quick draw competition, and a 7 player center flag tournament which drew 29 teams to Nashville Paintball Sports.  Paintballers weren't the only thing to come though - so did the winds.  Class five tornadoes ripped through Nashville and its surrounding areas, fortunately none touched down at the game site.  More than 4 inches of rain fell in less than 12 hours on the 18th.  The staging tents kept players and their gear protected between games.  The weather broke on Saturday night to partly cloudy skies for the 7 player finals.

Sponsorhip by Zap Paintballs, Scott USA, Worr Games Products, Tippmann Pneumatics, Paintball News, PCRI, Viewloader, National Paintball Supply, ADCO International, Palmer's Pursuit Products, Pro Team Products, Paintball 2 Xtremes, Unique Pro Gear, Air America, AirGun Designs, National Paintball Association, Kingman International, J&J Performance Products, Action Pursuit Games and Indian Creek Design helped make the event possible and provided the prizes.

Nashville Paintball Sports will also be home to the Zap International Masters in October.  Watch WARPIG for on-scene event coverage.
