Here are some things to consider.
Make sure you want to play a sniper role. Do you have the patience to wait it out for the one shot kill, (HIT). You have got to get into some places snakes won't even go.
Next you are usualy on your own, if you do scenarios, you could find yourself behind enemy lines with 20 or so opposing troops walking mere feet away from your location. If this sounds like something you can handle, then by all means, do-it.
As far as upgrades go, I have only owned Tippmans, I will never own another gun, but what I do know is they are loud,loud,loud. Your first step is step go on yahoo and type in custom 98 silncer barrels. You should get a ton of responses, just go to one of the sites. With less than 20 dollars invested you can make a home made silencer, that should help you out.
