First one has to ask if it is appropriate and consistent with the concept of a year book.

Is it a school function like the other sports? Is there a paintball club? Formal or informal conducted at the school?

Is it in a section of student hobbies outside of school?

Then you can propose the point that it should be included.

A yearbook is about things and people AT SCHOOL.
Have to answer the question, how does that apply to paintball pictures?

We didn't have pictures of street muscle cars in mine. Plenty around school. Or the drag races in front of the school.

Or the picture widely circulated of the VW beetle belonging to a popular teacher that we physically carried onto the elevator and set in the middle of the cafeteria up on the 4th floor. (That was back when teachers and cops had a sense of humor.)

Or the pictures published in the newspaper of panic caused by the police chiefs son setting off a tear gas grenade during assembly..

Stuff goes on in and around school that good taste dictates probably shouldn't be in a year book.

We DID have a lot of pictures of kids SMOKING during school games and stuff.

Bet you won't have any.....

Got to ask what is politically correct. I'd be happy with you educating your teacher that a paintball marker is NOT considered a weapon or a firearm in any jurisdiction in this country. She is using politically incorrect terminology for a sport...

And of course you and all your paintball friends have NEVER said the politically incorrect words: "Paintball Gun" and ALWAYS used the politically correct term "Paintball Marker". Right? Maybe THAT is how she developed the incorrect impression.

STILL, at a glance, it LOOKSs like a weapon. It IS potentially dangerous just like a muscle car or hockey stick. It shoots projectiles.

Got to admit the world is different after Columbine and Joneboro.

You do have to be sensitive to other people NOT into the sport of paintball like yourself.
