The extinguisher I used was steel I believe they are lighter than the aluminum ones as well . I ground most of the threads out of the neck and ground a shoulder on a 1 inch x 2 inch long nipple till it fit snug . After checking that the pipe was straight I used bronze braizing rod to seal the conection . I then tapped a 1/8 pipe thread hole to install a 1/4 inch schrader valve refrigeration fitting to pressurize the tank . The tank is actually oversize as I can sometimes get two shots off one fill if I tap the trigger instead of hold it down .
