There was a real combat vehicle at our Big Game the first year we fielded the tiger. The tiger was built for paintball with paintball in mind and is kind of a combat parade float. Vehicles the military would use were designed and built for REAL combat and mixing these apples and oranges didn't work out as well as one might think. The tiger has large lexan windows protected by netting. The netting produces an incredible amount of harmless bounces wich keeps our field of vision virtually uninhibited. The military vehicle was a ferret armored car. The drivers periscope was painted solid with only 3 or 4 hits and he hadda do something about it before he could continue. After some time they took the periscope out and put in a large piece of plexi but it all that did was take a few more hits before that was opaque as well. If you were to buy some kind of small tracked military vehicle could you maintain it? Don't know about you but if we had one and threw a track during game play that would be the end of the day for us. Right now if we get a flat we just plug it or put on the spare. Underneath we are still a car. A tracked military vehicle of some sort would look cool though.
