thought about it just now, and im thinking firing timing would be difficult, however all other aspects would be much easier! ill work on

What you'll have to do is have the drill turn a gear box. That way you can slow the gear down that meshes with your belt. Use a large cog that makes one revolution per cycle of your cannon to move the belt. When the cam is ready to trigger the valve, just leave out a few teath on the cog that runs the belt.
