You know you're really not that far from EMR in PA and I think you may be closer to CPX in Joliet Illinois than we are here on LI in NY.
You might want to think about coming down for Spplat Attack 2 at EMR at the end of August. There should be quite a number of PAV's and tankers there. It'd be a good way to meet some rather interesting people and check out some of the many solutions to the problems you'll face if you do decide to build your own PAV.
